How this practice operates

Responsible practice

This page sets out the environmental, social and governance position of a one-person strategy practice. Everything on it can be evidenced. Nothing on it is an aspiration written in the present tense.

Why this page is short

A practice of one has a small footprint and a small amount to report. Saying more than that would be the problem this page exists to avoid.

I sell strategic clarity, and a responsibility statement padded with unevidenced claims would fail the standard I ask clients to meet. So this page states what is true about how I work, and then states plainly what I do not claim.

It is also here for a practical reason. Buyers and procurement teams increasingly ask suppliers how they operate. If you need that answer from me, it is on this page rather than in a form I fill in on request.

Environmental

The footprint of a remote, document-led practice.

There is no office, no fleet, no stock and no manufacturing, so the environmental position is mostly a description of what does not happen.

01

Delivered remotely

Work is delivered remotely across the UK, Ireland, Europe, North America and the UAE. There is no commute, no business travel to client sites and no premises to heat or light.

02

Digital deliverables only

Every deliverable is a digital document. Nothing is printed, packaged or shipped as part of an engagement.

03

No stock and no physical product

The practice holds no inventory and produces no physical goods, so there is no supply chain to account for beyond the software and hosting it runs on.

Social

How clients and readers are treated.

The social commitments are the ones a small practice can actually control: access, plain language, transparency and ownership.

Accessible by design

This site is built and tested against WCAG 2.2 at level AA, and the accessibility statement sets out what has been built in, how it is tested and what the known limitations are.

Plain English

Strategy is written to be understood by the person who has to act on it, not to demonstrate vocabulary. Jargon that adds nothing is removed.

Transparent pricing

Prices are published on the services page so a business can decide whether the work is affordable before making contact, rather than after a sales conversation.

You own the work

The strategic foundation is yours. You can act on it with any provider or any tool afterwards, including AI. There is no lock-in and no retainer required to use what you have paid for.

Named, not subcontracted

The work is done by me. It is not passed to subcontractors, offshored or resold under another agency's name.

Proportionate scope

I recommend the smallest scope capable of resolving the problem properly, which is one of the six CANDID values the practice is held to.

Governance

Who is accountable, and for what.

01

A named, qualified practitioner

Nadine Benjamin, BA (Hons) Business Management (Marketing), 2:1, Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing. Operated from England, UK, and governed by the laws of England and Wales.

03

Reasoning, assumptions and risks stated

Every recommendation is given with the thinking behind it, what it assumes and where it could be wrong. A recommendation you cannot interrogate is one you cannot defend to your own board or your own team.

04

AI enabled, never AI led

AI is used in production and that use is disclosed rather than hidden. The judgement, the analysis and the recommendation are mine. This is the distinction the practice is built on, so it is governed rather than assumed.

The discipline

What I do not claim.

I am not carbon neutral, I do not offset, and I make no claim about the emissions of the platforms this site and my tools run on. I have not measured them, so I will not describe them.

The practice holds no environmental certification, publishes no formal ESG report and is under no statutory obligation to produce one. It employs nobody, so it has no workforce policies to report on.

Environmental and social claims are regulated. Under the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 an unsubstantiated claim is a legal exposure rather than a marketing flourish, and the same test I would apply to a client's positioning applies to my own. If I cannot evidence it, it is not on this page.

Strategy that holds up

The same test applied to your brand.

If your buyers are asking how you operate, that is a positioning question before it is a reporting one. Explore the services, ask Clara AI where to start, or send the business context directly.
